Today's Trade

The music of Today's Trade provokes an assortment of new feelings and nostalgia, combining modern songwriting sensibilities with classic rock and blues roots. Think Allman Brothers meets Grateful Dead, with a generous splash of Clapton, Hendrix, and the Beatles. The four piece outfit features two lead guitarists and a rock-solid rhythm section sure to get the crowd on their feet. With two EPs and a new full length album (Give & Take), Today's Trade is beginning to settle into their own groove. With a strong desire to continue the tradition of musicianship and live performance, what you hear on the record is what you'll experience in concert. Immerse yourself in a listening experience that is sure to leave you coming back for more.

Groovy Louie & the Time Capsules (Album Release!)

In between the dimensional fingers of time and space lives a being with unlimited astroillogical funktelligence. His name is Groovy Louie. His only purpose is to spread the funk so all beings have the ability to survive.  During Groovy's endless quest he has recruited a group of modern funk disciples to aid in his objective. A group he admirably refers to as the Time Capsules. Together, Groovy Louie & the Time Capsules have signed their souls to the Intergalactic Mothers of Funk, promising to preserve life by juicing the funk out of every corner of the unknown universe.

The Big Lagniappe

The Big Lagniappe is influenced from New Orleans roots music, and keeps true to blue collar, Midwest town they hail from. Their original tunes can be somewhat progressive in nature, with the traditional tunes, breathing new life into the old. The band is powered by a four piece horn section with Ellis Wright on Saxophone, Will Cooper on trombone, Patrick Wright and David Francis on trumpet; backed by a thumping rhythm section, Chris Foray on bass and Jeff Sledge on drums. Topped off with Kevin Krauss with lead vocals, electric piano and organ, and Bridget Cavanaugh on vocals. The Big Lagniappe is the little somethin' extra you need!

SJOD

SJOD is the project of Stephen Jake O'Donnell, a 25 year old experimental electronic musician from the Chicago suburbs. As the preeminent avant-electro-trance-fusion-dark horse of Chicago SJOD brings improvisational four to the floor dance beats and exploratory soundscapes to the people. Joining up with a collective of Chicago jazz and funk musicians, the SJOD Live band spews nothing but heated & meaty jamtronica swells/peaks straight into and around your ear drums. The party has just started, see you on the dancefloor.

Stanley & the Baskets

Stanley and the Baskets is a hip-hop, dance, funk, and reggae-inspired jam band from Chicagoland.
