Justin Roberts

Saturday, Dec 08 - 11am - $12 Justin Roberts JUSTIN ROBERTS has made his mark in the hip kids music scene with comic and soulful songs featuring unique twists that parents will enjoy as much as children. Justin never forgot what it was like to be a kid, and his lyrics and music speak to the child in all of us. His style has been compared to James Taylor, Nick Lowe and even Green Day, but he clearly expresses a new style of hip children’s music. With high-energy tunes spanning the genres from rock and roll to Afro-pop rhythms, Justin knows how to engage an audience to sing along, dance and have a general good time. His sing along songs, including “Yellow Bus,” “Willy Was a Whale,” “Airplane of Food,” “Way Out,” and “I Lost the Tooth I Lost” indicate the timeless themes Justin addresses. He says, "There's nothing better than seeing families together laughing, singing, and dancing with each other.” He released his first CD of children’s songs, “Great Big Sun” in 2000 and Sesame Street Parents Magazine named it “Best Music Gift of the Year”.
